American Aquatic - Who We Are

American Aquatic was born of a shared love for water and adventure.  In 2017 an idea was hatched to create a premium fishing guide service out of Ocean Isle Beach and be able to offer our guests a retail experience from our favorite emerging brands. If we loved to fish in it, or wear it on the beach, we sold it in the store.  Thanks to an amazing family of Captains, Mates, Retail Team and Guests, Salt Fever Guide Service grew faster than we could have imagined, and the retail store was growing right along with it. 

Freshwater carries an opportunity for a whole different kind of adventure that couldn’t be ignored, so we made our way to the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains to open our next store in Elkin, North Carolina.  A hub for hikers, kayakers, fly fisherman, festivals and good vibes, made us feel right at home. 

Whether you prefer your adventures in the mountains or the sea, American Aquatic offers the best apparel and accessories to take along for the ride.  We are excited to continue to grow with new store locations, affiliates like Explore Elkin and BigWater Adventure, and our expanding brand options.
